Hello there - for those of you who don’t know me, my name is Jesse. I am now 29 years old, but was 26 at the time of my diagnosis of stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma; an aggressive form of breast cancer.

You may be thinking to yourself that 26 is too young for breast cancer, and I would have to agree with you. But nonetheless, this was in fact my reality.

However, cancer does not define me. Outside of cancer I have a wonderful family who I love to spend time with, and an even more wonderful boyfriend, Cameron. I have two “medium sized” dogs who both weigh 100lbs each and they are my world. I have total dog mom vibes. Right before cancer came into my life, I was a young woman who was just about to start on a new exciting career adventure and who was looking forward to some upcoming trips with my boyfriend.

Cancer may have temporarily derailed some plans I had, but it can’t stop me from sharing my story. I hope that the information and stories I share here can help some others one day, especially younger women. I know that I personally found very little information on breast cancer in women my age after I was first diagnosed. Everything I share on here is just my personal experience, but if any of this information can help just one person then it is totally worth it to me.

Fiercely,
Jesse
