Over Half Way Through Chemo!!
It's time for a way overdue update for everyone! For starters, thank you to those who have reached out to myself or my family with their thoughts, prayers, kind words, etc. - it really does mean the world to us and it helps keep me going everyday! ❤️
Chemo Update:
As I type this, I am receiving my 4th round of chemo. We are getting so close to being done with this portion of my treatment! Just two more rounds to go after this and we will be on to the next phase of my treatment which will be surgery. In the upcoming weeks we will be meeting with my surgeon again to discuss our surgery plan. As of right now I am mentally planning on a double mastectomy, but we will have more information on our actual game plan after we meet with my team.
Chemo is hard and ugly and it wrecks havoc on your entire body..... but it's working. Like REALLY working! After my first few treatments we saw immediate and drastic changes to the large tumor in my left breast. My cancer has been very responsive to treatment thus far and my tumor has shrunk to the point where myself and my doctors can no longer feel it at all. I am absolutely blown away at the progress we've made in such a short time.
I know that there is still a long road ahead before I have officially won this battle but I am very optimistic that I will continue kicking Chad's ass.
The amount of love, positivity, and kind words I have received over the last few months is overwhelming and it means so much to me. If you'd like to continue to support my journey you can do so by donating to my GoFundMe or by sharing my story to help raise awareness of the risk of breast cancer in young adults - https://gofund.me/615fa3c1. Any and all support is appreciated ❤️
Fiercely,
Jesse
